Origins

In a dark and vast universe, a star sheds light on nearby planets in a solar system, Vorx.

One of the largest of these planets is called, Ei, or in the common tongue, one.

One side of the planet is bathed in light, the other remains in darkness.

Celestial beings from a different world had come to rest on the planet seeking sanctuary from an eternal fight against darkness.

After years of hiding, the darkness finally found the lush sanctuary they had created.

By drawing power from the nearby star, the celestial beings fought the beings of evil and drove them back into the darkness.

There they lingered, scheming and plotting their revenge.

The following era was peaceful.

The celestial beings grew more powerful, and eventually created life.

Life flourished in the light and many species came to be.

Some creatures grew intelligent, and then came the time of man.

The celestial beings, whom the men worshiped as gods, mysteriously disappeared and once again the darkness that had been defeated returned.
